MILFORD, Conn. – The Hartford women's golf team heads back to Great River Golf Club for the Sacred Heart Spring Invitational this week. Spanning the course of two-days, the first round is set to begin on Monday before wrapping up on Tuesday.

• Freshman Grace Farland tied for 21st place to lead the Hartford women's golf team at the Prospect Bay Intercollegiate while Sofia Rodas paced the Hawks with a 29^th place finish at the Hartford Wintonbury Hills Invitational last weekend
• Farland has paced the Hawks at every event this spring
• Freshman Madeline Adam has a strong final round, shooting an 80 (+8)
• Adam tied for 36^th, posting a 31-over 247
• Lilly Moreau rounded out the top three in Maryland, posting a 43-over 259 to tie for 49th
• The remaining members of the Hartford women's golf team competed as individuals at the Hartford Wintonbury Hills Invitational
• Rodas paced the Hawks with a 21-over 161 to tie for a 29^th place finish
• Hannah Drew followed closely behind, shooting a 164 (+24) across the two rounds to finish tied for 36^th
• Teagan Devoe rounded out the top three at Wintonbury Hills, finishing in 43^rd after posting a two-round score of 168 (+28)

 
HISTORY LESSON

• This will be the second time the Hawks head to Great River Golf Club after competing there in the Sacred Heart Invitational in the fall
• The Hawks shaved five strokes off of their first-round score to finish with a 643, 12 strokes ahead of LIU, the seventh-place finisher
• Rookie Madeline Adam and junior Lara Yeung each paced the Hartford women's golf team at the Sacred Heart Fall Invitational, tying  for 23rd
• The rookie shot an 80 in the opening round and an 81 in Monday's round to finish with a 17-over 161
• Yeung, who carded a 77 (+5) on Monday, also finished with a 161
• Freshman Grace Farland was Hartford's next finisher (t-28th) with an 18-over 162
• Junior Hannah Drew tied for 32nd after combining for a 20-over 164

Hartford plays its final spring tournament in preparation for the MAAC Championships, hosting the Hartford Gillette Ridge Invitational this weekend. The two-day event, which takes place at nearby Gillette Ridge Golf Course in Bloomfield, Conn., is set to begin on Friday, April 15.
