KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Three University of Hartford women's soccer players have earned 2023 United Soccer Coaches Women's Scholar All-East Region, the organization recently announced.
Senior forward
Imani Jenkins earned second-team honors, while graduate student
Imani Sharma and senior
Christina Stone earned third-team recognition.
Jenkins (3.60, Biology), a two-time USC All-Region selection, was named to the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District honors earlier this season. The ECAC Player of the Year, she was the Division III leader in goals and points while finishing fourth in assists. Her 33 goals and 84 points are also Hartford's single-season marks. The forward, who has one year of eligibility remaining, is currently third all-time in points (129), third all-time in goals (53), and tied for ninth in assists (23).
Stone (3.99, Psychology) led Division III with 19 assists, setting a new Hartford single-season mark. She scored two goals and three assists en route to being named to the ECAC All-Tournament team. Stone finished the season with eight goals, 19 assists, and 35 points. She was also named to the United Soccer Coaches Second-Team All-Region and the College Sports Communicators Academic All-Region. She moved to the CSC Academic All-America ballot.
Sharma (3.92, Business Administration) earned College Sports Communicators Academic All-District honors earlier this season. A second-team USC All-Region selection, she finished the season with four goals, nine assists, and 25 points.
Hartford finished the 2023 season as the ECAC Champions after posting a 16-2 record. The Hawks won all nine of their games against Commonwealth Coast Conference opponents.
