DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – The University of Hartford women's golf team is tenth of 11 schools following the first round of the Sacred Heart Spring Break Invitational Monday at the LPGA International – Hills Course.
Li had a birdie, four bogeys, and a double bogey to post a five-over 41 on the front nine, and then scored four bogeys and a double bogey on the back nine to card a six-over 42 for a combined 11-over 83 on the round.
After starting with a birdie, Yeung had five bogeys and a double bogey for a six-over 42 on the front nine. She had three bogeys and a double bogey on the back nine for a five-over 41 to finish at 11-over 83.
Sophomore
Madeline Adam finished at 10-over 82 after finishing the first round with a birdie, nine bogeys, and a double bogey, while sophomore
Lilly Moreau carded a 15-over 87. She tied for a team-high with seven pars but shot a 10 on the par-five 15th hole. Moreau had eight bogeys and a double bogey in the round.
Sophomore
Grace Farland rounded out the scoring for the Hawks, carding an 18-over 90.
Hartford concluded the tournament with another 18 holes Tuesday on the par 72 venue that will play 5,955 yards.
