SOUTH KENT, Conn. - The Hartford Women's Golf team traveled a short distance down to Bulls Bridge Golf Club and placed 5th in the annual Battle at Bulls Bridge.

• Freshman Maris Brayan (Trumbull, Conn.) led the Hawks in scoring, shooting an 89 (+17) and placing 15th overall.

• Freshman Lilly Sprister (Rutland, Mass.) and senior independent Julia Smith (Plainville, Conn.) both shot a 91 (+19), placing in a tie for 18th.

• Sophomore Gabby DeBenedetto (Southbury, Conn.) finished with a 92 (+20) and placed 20th overall.

Inside the numbers

• The Hawks finished with three birdies, with one apiece from Brayan, Smith, and senior Charlee Nagle (Cheshire, Conn.).

• Smith also registered the lowest 9-hole score of the day for Hartford with a 42 (+6) on the back.
