BEVERLY, Mass. – On Monday, the Conference of New England (CNE) announced its fall weekly report with freshman
Alexa Frendo, (Whitby, Ontario.) being named the women's soccer rookie of the week.
Alexa put together a two-goal week for the Hawks against UMass Dartmouth. Against the Corsairs, Frendo had the last two goals, one in the 58th minute and another in the 66th. Her four-point performance gave her the first tallies of her collegiate career.
"Exciting to see that Alexa has been recognized for her efforts this past week", said head coach
John Natale. "She has been improving tremendously as the season is progressing. She will be counted on heavily as the season is winding down. I am hoping this recognition gives her the confidence she needs as we finish off the regular season."
Frendo and the Hawks will have two more games this week traveling to Nichols College on Tuesday, before hosting the University of New England on Saturday.
