BREWSTER, Mass. - Over the Weekend, the Hawks women's golf team competed in the 8th Annual Women's New England Intercollegiate Golf Association (NEIGA) Championships ending in 5th place as a team out of the 11 teams.
Rapid Recap:
- Babson would win the event at a combined score of +38 over the two day tournament. Menglu Alice Zhu from Babson won the individual tournament shooting a +5 throughout both days.
- Junior Charlee Nagle (Cheshire, Conn.) and freshman Gabby DeBenedetto (Southbury, Conn.) tied in 21st to lead the Hawks. Nagle jumped three spots in the second day as they both shot a +38 overall.
- Junior Julia Smith (Plainville, Conn.) was next for Hartford coming in 28th place at a +48 score. Senior Tessa Succo (Plainville, Conn.) rounded out the four scorers in 31st place at a +56.
