BEVERLY, Mass. – On Monday, the Conference of New England (CNE) announced its weekly awards for the week of September 30th - October 5th with freshman Owen Klein (Coventry, R.I.) being named the men's cross country rookie of the week for his third time in 2024. Klein has won the award every time he has been eligible. 

The Hartford cross country team competed in the Keene State Invitational 8k race on Saturday. Klein finished with the best individual time for the Hawks placing 28th with a time of 26:33:70.  

"Owen has been tremendous in his young career with the Hawks", said head cross country and track and field coach Connor Green. "We are excited to see how he can continue to help inspire and improve through the remainder of the season." 

Klein and the Hawks men's cross country team will compete next on October 19th in the Connecticut College Invitational.
