WEST HARTFORD, CONN. The Hartford Men's Cross Country team captures 2024 ECAC championship tournament, placing first place out of nine teams.
Rapid Recap:
- Senior Riley Brutvan (Gardiner, NY) lead the Hawks coming in first place overall with a time of 26:57.8.
- Coming in second place overall and for Hartford was freshman Owen Klein (Coventry, RI) with a time of 27:08.1
- Placing fourth overall and third for the Hawks was sophomore Trae McIntyre (Troy, NY) with a time of 27:45.6.Â
Inside the Numbers:
- Hartford finished with 24 points as a team.
- The Hawks secured 3 of the top 5 spots throughout the tournament (1,2,4)
- Hartford finished with an average time of 27:46 amongst the top 5.

"It was a really exciting race! Last year I spectated this race on crutches, so it was incredible so it was incredible to get out there and win my first collegiate XC race on this course specifically. I'm super proud of this team for working together well today, we had a great showing to end the season." said Brutvan.
