WEST HARTFORD, Conn. - Graduate student Riley Brutvan (Gardiner, N.Y.) was crowned the Conference of New England (CNE) Runner of the Week for his performance in last week's Hartford Invitational.
Brutvan led the way for the Hawks, finishing first in the field and posting a time of 15:50.8. This time fell just one second short of the course record, but was still more than good enough to land him a spot atop the podium. Brutvan and the Hawks finished in 4th out of nineteen teams and are set to be back on the course on September 20th to compete in the UMass Dartmouth Invitational.
