Box Score 2 TUCSON, Ariz. – The University of Hartford softball team ended their softball trip in the Tucson Invitational Games with a split, winning the first game over UW-Lacrosse and falling in the second game to UT-Dallas.

GAME TWO: UT-DALLAS 3, HARTFORD 2
With the tying runs in scoring position with no outs in the seventh inning, the University of Hartford softball team managed to only get one of the two needed runners across the plate in falling to UT-Dallas, 3-2.
Graduate
Mara Sczecienski opened the inning with a single and moved to third as freshman
Adelie Beebe reached on an error. Sophomore
Gia Miccio brought home Sczecienski with a sacrifice fly, but a strikeout and pop up ended the rally.
Both teams scored unearned runs on passed balls in the first inning. The Comets took the lead with single runs in fifth and sixth innings.
Freshman
Gracie Hopkins (0-1) took the loss, allowing three runs (one earned), on six hits over seven innings.
INSIDE THE BOX & NOTES
- Hartford managed four hits, all singles.
- Freshman Alex Hassett recorded her first career stolen base. The Hawks are 15-of-18 in stolen bases on the season.
