South Hadley, Mass. - The University of Hartford women's golf team, secured the eighth place in the 17-team Jack Leaman Invitational, hosted by Amherst College. The Hawks finished the two-day event with a 70-over 646 at The Orchards Golf Club.

Junior Madeline Adam was the Hawks' leader, tying for 11th place with a score of 11-over 155, recording three total birdies and carding a 76 in the first round, which was her best round and a team low. Junior Grace Farland tied for 31st place at 16-over 160, recording two birdies.
Junior Lilly Moreau finished 20-over 164, tying for 46th place with a team-best four total birdies. Three of her birdies came in the second round. Senior Sofia Rodas tied for 59th place with a score of 23-over 167, carding three birdies. Graduate student Taegan Devoe tied for 77th place, finishing with a score 33-over 177, carding one birdie.
Wellesley placed first overall with a score of 32-over 608, with one golfer placing second and third. Alvernia, Amherst, Babson, Bates, Bowdoin, Christopher Newport, Cortland, Hamilton, Lafayette (individual only), Middlebury, NYU, Trinity, Vassar, Wesleyan, and Williams were among the other schools that competed in the tournament.
