Hawks Women's Soccer Picked 23rd in United Soccer Coaches National Preseason Poll

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – On August 6th the United Soccer Coaches (USC) announced its national preseason poll with the University of Hartford women's soccer team being ranked 23rd in all of division III. 

Last season, John Natale's team ended the year with a 16-2 overall record, winning the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Championship by a 6-0 final over the University of Pittsburgh at Greensburg on November 12th. Hartford outscored opponents 93-15 in 2023 averaging 5.17 goals per game with 14 different goal scorers. The Hawks also dished out 75 assists and had eight shutouts in net last year. 

In 2024, the Hawks return 18 members of the 2023 team including eight starters from the ECAC Championship game. This will also be the first season where Hartford can compete for the Conference of New England (CNE) championship after going 9-0 in conference play a season ago. The Hawks will start regular season play on September 3rd against Bowdoin College in Brunswick, Maine and will host Montclair State University in the home opener on September 7th at 11:00 AM.
