WILLIAMSTOWN, MA - The Hawks women's golf team finished their third tournament of the season in the Williams College Invitational, finishing the tournament in 23rd place.
Round 1 Recap:
- Wellesley College leads the event after the first round with a team score of +11. Amherst College and New York University tied for second place with a score of +17. The Hawks were in 23rd place with a team score of +126 heading into round 2.
- Junior Julia Smith (Plainville, Conn.) leads the Hawks with a score of +23
- Next for the Hawks is freshman Gabby DeBenedetto (Southbury, Conn.) with a score of +34 and closely following is junior Charlee Nagle (Cheshire, Conn.) with a first round score of +29.
- Senior Tessa Succo (Plainville, Conn.) ended the first round with a score of +40 and sophomore Abigail Crabtree (Bellport, N.Y.) had a score of +42.
Inside the Numbers:
- Emily Renoff from Bowdoin College and Aileen Du from Wellesley College ended the first round scoring an even par to lead the group.
Round 2 Recap:
- Wellesley College won the event with a team score of +24
- Junior Julia Smith (Plainville, Conn.) continued to lead for the Hawks with a round two score of +24 ending the weekend with +47 in 101st place.
- Freshman Gabby DeBenedetto (Southbury, Conn.) jumped her score to +27 in the second round giving her a final score of +61 putting her in 106th place.
Inside the Numbers:
- Emily Renoff from Bowdoin College won the event finishing the tournament with an overall score of 68 (-3) for the weekend.
