Three Hawks Earn USTFCCCA All-Region Honors

NEW ORLEANS, La. Senior Conor Convery (Port Jervis, N.Y.), sophomore Christopher Hergott (Hamden, Conn.), and sophomore Jordan Murphy (East Hampton, Conn.) have been recognized for their performances during the indoor track and field season by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross-Country Association (USTFCCCA) each being named All-Mideast Region selections.

Convery earned All-Region honors after an impressive indoor season, highlighted by a personal and school record 16.87-meter weight throw at the NYU Division III Invitational. Convery finished 14th at the 2025 New England Division III Indoor Track and Field Championships, with a 15.03-meter weight throw.

Hergott earned All-Region honors after a dominant indoor season, which saw the second-year jumper and sprinter take home first place in the long-jump in his final four meets of the indoor season, including the New England Division III Indoor Track and Field Championships and NEICAAA Championships, posting a 7.16-meter-long jump.

Murphy took home All-Region honors in Pentathlon and High Jump. Murphy finished 5th at the New England Indoor Track and Field Championships in Pentathlon, recording a score of 3,209. Murphy set a personal record in the high jump at the Tufts Cupid Challenge, recording a 1.68-meter-high jump. Murphy finished third in the high jump at the New England Division III Indoor Track and Field Championships, qualifying for the NEICAAA Championship, where she finished 7th overall.

About the USTFCCCA All-Region Awards:

The top 5 individuals in each event from each region on the year-end Descending Order Lists earned All-Region distinction, in addition to each member of the region's top 3 relay teams. The regions used for this award – East, Great Lakes, Metro, Mid-Atlantic, Mideast, Midwest, Niagara, North, South, and West – match those used during the cross-country season.
