BOSTON, Mass. - Hawks Men's Indoor Track & Field tied for 10th place in the NEICAAA All-New England Championships with a team total 18 points this weekend. This showing was the highest point total and men's place finish in University of Hartford program history, in 2022 the Hawks finished in 16th place, and in 2023 the team finished with 13 points overall.
Top Results:
- Sophomore Christopher Hergott (Hamden, Conn.) had a strong showing this weekend claiming first place in long jump earning ten points with a distance of 7.16m.
- Senior Jovan Joseph (Wrentham, Mass.) claimed two points in the 500m dash earning seventh place with a time of 1:06.58.
- Senior Brandon Edmund (Brooklyn, N.Y.) finished seventh place for the Hawks in the 400m earning two points.
- The men's 4x800m team earned four points for finishing fifth place. The Hawks that made up this team were freshman Nickolas Brisson (Williamsburg, Mass.), sophomore Stephen Haney (Foxborough, Mass.), junior Peter Efinger (Washingtonville, N.Y.) and junior Guilian Marconi (Southampton, Mass.).

"It was an great showing by both teams," said Head Coach
Connor Green. "After competing so well last weekend at D3 New England coming into this meet, we had the goal of just getting out there and competing well against some really high caliber teams. It's been a long indoor season and I'm thrilled with the growth of this program since December. There's plenty of work to still be done onto outdoor!"

The Hawks men's track and field team have concluded their indoor season with this competition and will kick off their outdoor season Saturday March 29th at the UMass Lowell Invitational.
