BLOOMFIELD, CONN. The Hartford Women's Golf team co-hosted their second tournament of the spring season at Tumble Brook Country club with Trinity College. The Hawks would place sixth out of six teams in the tournament finishing +217 with a total team score of 793 (391 Round 1, 402 Round 2).

Rapid Recap:

• Groups began play on Saturday as a bit of rain was not enough to halter play and the Hawks finished round one with a team score of 391. Play would continue into Sunday as the rain would ease off slightly, the Hawks would score a 402 as a team in the second round. Senior Tessa Susco (Plainville, Conn.) finished with the best score for Hartford placing 22nd overall with a total score of 192 (+48). Junior Charlee Nagle (Cheshire, Conn.) finished second for the Hawks placing 25th overall with an overall score of 201. Junior Julia Smith (Plainville, Conn.), freshman Gabby DeBenedetto (Southbury, Conn.), and sophomore Abigail Crabtree (Bellport, N.Y.) all tied for 25th place with a shared score of 202 (+58). Rounding things out for Hartford was freshman Jaqueline Tran (Waterford, Conn.) placing 32nd overall with a score of 214 (+70).

Inside the Numbers:

• Susco and Crabtree both finished the tournament with a birdie each
• Nagle lead the team in pars with six. Tran finished with four, Smith had four, Susco ended her rounds with three, and Crabtree finished with a pair of pars

Up Next:
The Hawks will compete again in the following weekend in South Hadley, MA at the Jack Leaman Invitational, hosted by Amherst College on Apr. 12-13.
