Two Hawks and Men’s Track & Field Team Named to the USTFCCCA All-Academic Team

NEW ORLEANS, La. - This morning, the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) NCAA Division III Men's All-Academic Athletes and All-Academic Teams were announced including two hawks and the men's track & field team. 

The USTFCCCA All-Academic Teams and All-Academic Athletes program recognizes the nation's top track & field athletes both inside and outside the classroom. In order to be included in the All- Academic Athletes, student athletes must have a grade point average of a 3.30 on a 4.0 scale through the most recently completed grading period. They also must have either finished among the top 50 individuals on TFRRS or have competed as a member on the top 35 relay teams on TFRRs. For teams to be included in the All-Academic Teams, the cumulative GPA must be at least a 3.10 on a 4.0 scale through the most recent grading period.

The two hawks making the list include senior Conor Convery (Port Jervis, N.Y.) and sophomore Christopher Hergott (Hamden, Conn.).  

Convery earned USTFCCCA All-Region honors in both Indoor Weight Throw and Outdoor Hammer Throw this season. He holds school records in each event, with marks of 16.87 meters in the weight throw and 54.70 meters in the hammer throw. He also earned First Team CNE All-Conference honors in the hammer throw and earned a CNE Academic All-Conference recognition. 

Hergott earned USTFCCCA All-Region honors in the 100 meters and long jump for both indoor and outdoor seasons. He holds the school record in the outdoor 100-meter dash with a time of 10.59 and was ranked 9th in the nation for indoor long jump. Named Hartford's Male Student-Athlete of the Year, he also received College Sports Communicators Academic All-District and CNE Academic All-Conference honors. His standout performances earned him multiple weekly awards from the CNE, including Athlete of the Week (4/14/25, 4/22/25) and Relay Team of the Week (3/31/25)

Alongside Convery and Hergott, the men's team earned their All-Academic Team honors with a cumulative GPA of 3.36.
