WEST HARTFORD, Conn. - On Tuesday, the Conference of New England (CNE) announced its first weekly honor roll in 2025 with senior goalkeeper Sejal Johnson (Weddington, N.C.) being named the CNE Defensive Player of the Week for her efforts in their first two games of the 2025 season.
In the season opener, Johnson recorded two saves in a 2-2 tie in a road match against Clarkson University. She followed up that performance with a clean sheet in a 1-0 victory against St. Lawrence University, locking down the team's first win of the season. In this victory, Sejal logged six saves en route to the commanding win in the non-conference. Johnson and her squad are slated to be back on the pitch this Saturday, September 6t,h on the road against Springfield College. The team's first home game is scheduled for September 9th against Eastern Connecticut State.
