LA CROSSE, Wis. - On Thursday, Friday and Saturday the University of Hartford women's outdoor track & field team competed in the NCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field Championships scoring 10 points over the week. Graduate student Kayla Pelletier (Southington, Conn.) would win the National Championship in the javelin throw becoming the first national champion in school history.

- Pelletier would win the javelin throw on Saturday hitting a distance of 45.73 meters. Kayla beat out 21 other competitors, while having the three best throws in the competition. Ashley Glennon from Dubuque came in second at 45.04 meters followed by Angela West from Roger Williams University. Pelletier earned U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) 1st Team All-American honors and is the first 1st Team All-American in school history.
- On Friday, junior Jordan Murphy (East Hampton, Conn.) became the first outdoor track & field All-American in school history after placing 10th in the high jump competition to secure a USTFCCCA 2nd Team All-American selection. Murphy would clear a height of 1.67 meters to tie for 10th out of 22 competitors. Jordan became the first Hawk to be recognized as an All-American in both indoor and outdoor season in program history after being a two-time second team All-American earlier this year. In the heptathlon competition, Murphy received a DNF after deciding to focus on the high jump on Saturday. Murphy would win the heptathlon high jump competition on Friday.
- Sophomore Tamara Greene (Hartford, Conn.) would have the race of her life on Saturday after coming into the meet ranked 21st. Greene would finish 10th just missing the cut into Saturday but earning the USTFCCCA 2nd Team All-American status. Tamara would break the school record finishing at 14.33 seconds missing the cut by .04 seconds.
