STORRS, Conn. - The Hartford men's tennis team opened its dual match schedule on Wednesday, as the Hawks fell to Connecticut, 6-1. 
Marco Neves earned the team's only point, grabbing a 6-3, 5-7, 10-5 victory at Number Three singles. He also paired with 
Eric Floum to win the Number Two doubles match, 8-6, although the Huskies rallied to clinch the doubles point.
Junior co-captain 
Aneil Bhalla put together a strong match as well, falling at Number Two singles, 6-2, 5-7, 10-1. Besides Neves, Bhalla was the only Hawk to win a set.
Sophomore co-captain 
Josh Isaacson headed the Hartford ladder on Wednesday, falling at Number One doubles, 6-2, 6-2. 
Edgardo Ureta put up a valiant effort in his first set at Number Five singles, but ultimately fell, 7-5, 6-1.
The Hawks will now have a week off before their home opener, a dual with Siena on September 23. The match is slated to get underway at 3:30 p.m. at the Hartford Tennis Courts.
