WEST HARTFORD, Conn. — The University of Hartford baseball team has changed its schedule for this weekend's home series against UAlbany, head coach
Justin Blood announced Wednesday.
Due to heavy rain forecasted for this weekend, the Hawks have moved their doubleheader up to Friday morning at Fiondella Field. The doubleheader was originally scheduled for Saturday.
Friday's first game is slated for an 11 a.m. first pitch, with game two set to begin roughly 30 minutes after the completion of game one. The doubleheader will be streamed live on AmericaEast.TV

The series finale has also been moved and will now take place on Saturday, at 10 a.m., at Fiondella. Saturday will be Senior Day for Hartford and the Hawks will honor
David Drouin,
John LaRossa,
David MacKinnon,
Dalton Ruch and
Brian Stepniak during a pregame ceremony that will begin at 9:40 a.m.

Stepniak (3-3, 6.09 ERA) will take the hill in game one on Friday, going up against UAlbany junior right-hander J.T. Genovese (3-1, 4.23 ERA).
Nathan Florence (1-3, 7.16 ERA) is slated to get the start for the Hawks in the second game of the doubleheader, with Hartford's
Connor Lewis (3-2, 4.89 ERA) facing off against Great Danes junior lefty Jack McClure (3-1, 2.93 ERA). UAlbany has not announced a started for the second game of Friday's doubleheader.
The Hawks (19-22, 7-8 America East) currently sit in fifth place in the conference standings, one spot ahead of UAlbany (19-22, 6-11 AE). The Great Danes have won their past three conference games and six of their past eight overall. Hartford has won eight of its last 11 games.
