The Hawks came out of the gate hot, scoring six goals in the first ten minutes. Sophomore
Birdie Montes got the ball rolling for Hartford, scoring the first goal of the game on her own at 28:11. Montes proved to be an asset during the game, leading with eight points. Other scorers for Hartford in the first half included
Debbie Phillips,
Lily Belle Baker,
Suzanna Cantwell,
Kaitlyn D'Andrea and
Emily Steele. Going into the second period, the Hawks led the Hornets 12-1, putting the contest far out of reach for Delaware.
Samantha Carreras and
Megan Miller added goals in the second half to help the Hawks seal a 20-2 victory.
