Vermont put the game out of reach early, scoring the first eight goals of the game in ten minutes, before sophomore
Megan Miller but Hartford on the board with her 16th goal of the season at 16:23. Sophomore
Jessica Harrison put a pair of goals in the back of the net before the first half ended, going into halftime trailing the Catamounts 12-3. Hartford scored three more times in the second half with goals by Miller,
Taylor Calvagna and
Billy McLaughlin, but the Catamounts came away with the 17-6 victory.
