Women's Lacrosse Comes up Short to Quinnipiac at Home

Box Score WEST HARTFORD, Conn. – Hartford women's lacrosse scored a season-high 10 goals against Quinnipiac, but it wasn't enough to hold the Bobcats off, who secured a 19-10 victory over the Hawks. The Hawks fall to 0-6 on the season while Quinnipiac improves to 3-4. 
 
QUINNIPIAC 19, HARTFORD 10
The Bobcats scored the first goal of the game on a free position shot, before Senior Billy McLaughlin threw two in the back of the net to take a 2-1 lead. Quinnipiac returned with two goals before sophomore Megan Miller scored to tie the game again at 3-3. The Bobcats answered with a string of five goals to give Quinnipiac its final lead of the game.

  • Sophomore Debbie Phillips scored her first hat trick of the season, adding an assist to lead the Hawks with four points on the game
  • Sophomore Megan Miller had a hand in three of Hartford's goals, putting two in the back of the net and adding an assist

  • Smith's pair of goals marks a career-high
