Stony Brook secured an early lead to put the game out of reach in the first half, leading 17-1 with 30 minutes left to play. Sophomore
Megan Miller put the Hawks on the board with an assist from
Kaitlyn D'Andrea at 12:13. Hartford's
Debbie Phillips was the first to score in the second half (21:03) before Lauren Wenher and
Lily Belle Baker netted two more to leave the Hawks with four on the game. Stony Brook found the back of the net four times in the second half, sealing a 21-4 lead.
