WEST HARTFORD, Conn. – The University of Hartford Department of Athletics has announced new mission, vision and core values statements to coincide with the start of the 2019-20 academic year.
The goal of the new mission, vision, and core values is to enhance a program that fosters a championship culture on and off of the field; develop trust and accountability among student-athletes, coaches and administrators; and strengthen a winning spirit felt throughout the student body.
Additionally, the hashtag #TakeFlight signifies the department's foundation on which all members of the Hawk family can succeed. #TakeFlight will be used across all social media platforms for the 2019-20 athletic seasons.
MISSION STATEMENT: We are committed to empowering our student-athletes to achieve their full potential of academic success, community engagement, and athletic excellence sustained through accountability, consistency, leadership and pride.
