WEST HARTFORD, Conn. — The University of Hartford's Department of Athletics and its Office of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion held its first-ever Unity Graduation Celebration on Monday afternoon.  

The Department of Athletics would like to congratulate all of the Multicultural and International student-athletes on all of their accomplishments. Hartford Athletics acknowledges the uniqueness and value of underrepresented and marginalized student group experiences.

Hartford's Unity Graduation highlights the accomplishments of their student-athletes within their cultural and ethnic context. The inaugural Hartford Unity Graduation Celebration is an identity-based ceremony that recognizes our multicultural and International student-athletes in order to celebrate their academic accomplishments. The Unity Graduation Celebration, which was held virtually in a pre-recorded video due to the COVID-19 pandemic, did not replace the formal graduation ceremony and is not degree conferring.
