BOSTON – After leading the Hartford baseball team to its first win of the 2020 season, junior Nicholas Dombkowski was named America East Pitcher of the Week, the organization announced Tuesday.
 
Dombkowski opened up the weekend for the Hawks with a stellar performance on the mound in the team's season opener at Stetson. He threw six innings of one-run ball, striking out six batters while scattering two hits to lead Hartford to a 6-3 victory against the Hatters.
 
Dombkowski, who registers a 1.50 ERA, is tied for 10th in the conference with six strikeouts. This marks the sixth time in his career that he has won a conference weekly award and it is the fourth time in his career that he has been named America East Pitcher of the Week.

Hartford is back in action on Friday, Feb. 28, on the road against North Florida. First pitch is set for 6 p.m.
