Cohoon Homers in Baseball's Loss at Northeastern

Box Score BROOKLINE, Mass. – Sophomore Donnie Cohoon hit a solo home run to lead the offense, as Hartford baseball fell to Northeastern, 3-1, on the road Wednesday afternoon at the Friedman Diamond.

With the loss the Hawks fell to 6-6 on the season, while the Huskies improved to 10-5 with the win.

NORTHEASTERN 3 HARTFORD 1
The Huskies struck first after Jared Dupere hit a solo homer in the bottom of the first inning to give Northeastern a 1-0 lead. Dupere followed with a second solo home run in the fifth to push the Huskies' lead to 2-0. However, Cohoon led the sixth inning off with a solo home run of his own to cut the deficit to 2-1. Northeastern added a run in the bottom of the sixth and eventually held on for the 3-1 win.

Hartford returns to action on Saturday, Mar. 14, when the Hawks play host to Stony Brook in the conference-opener. First pitch from game one of the doubleheader at Fiondella Field is set for noon.
