WINDSOR, Conn. – The University of Hartford Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) spent Thursday morning giving back to the community in more than one way. A group of SAAC members partnered with "Feed the Children", Price Rite Marketplace and End Hunger Connecticut to help organize and distribute over $100,000 worth of food, hygiene items, fresh produce and book bags filled with school supplies to low-income families affected by COVID-19 in the Windsor community. 
 
Members of the baseball, women's basketball, men's cross country, women's cross country, men's soccer, women's soccer, men's track & field, women's track & field and volleyball teams joined forces with Feed the Children, Price Right and End Hunger Connecticut to package supplies into 50lb boxes to distribute to over 1,600 families.

Feed the Children focuses on taking the actions necessary to overcome childhood hunger and malnutrition and create a world filled with hope and possibility.
