Box Score BOSTON, Mass. – The University of Hartford women's lacrosse team opened the season with a 10-7 loss to Simmons Tuesday at Daly Field.
Hartford scored the first three goals of the game with junior
Meghan Smith, freshman
Katie Graham, and freshman
Talei Ricketson all finding the back of the net. The Hawks took a 5-1 lead into halftime.
Things changed in the second half as Simmons scored eight of the first nine goals, including a stretch in which the Sharks tallied six straight. Hartford was outscored 9-2 in the second half.
Smith finished with a hat trick and freshman
Katie Graham scored a pair of goals for the Hawks. Graduate
Hanna Ramsey finished with nine saves.
