WEST HARTFORD, Conn. - On Friday, the Conference of New England (CNE) announced its field hockey major award winners and all-conference teams with Hartford field hockey seeing a pair of members selected.
Freshman
Kyra Benard (Agawam, Mass.) becomes the first ever Hartford field hockey student-athlete to make an All-Conference Team after being selected to the Third Team. Senior
Mikayla Mathews (Pittsgrove, N.J.) was also featured as a member of the CNE Community Service Team.
Benard ended her first year as the Hawks points leader with 16 on the season. Kyra scored seven goals and dished out two assists, while logging two game-winners.
Mathews was named to the CNE Community Service Team. Mikayla ended the year starting all 15 games with a single assist on the season.

Originally founded in 1984 as the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC), and reconstituted as the Conference of New England (CNE) in 2024, the CNE is an NCAA Division III athletic conference composed of 11 full member and five associate member institutions throughout the New England region.
