PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The Hawks Women's Indoor Track & Field traveled to Rhode Island to compete in the Brown University Invitational this weekend.
Top Results:
- Sophomore Averi McCoy (Bensalem, Pa.) had a strong showing placing sixth overall in the 60m with a time of 8.14. McCoy also nabbed ninth place in the 300m with a time of 44.64.
- Sophomore Caroline Crocker (Bernadston, Mass.) nabbed sixth place in the 60m hurdles crossing the finish line with a time of 9.54.
- The Hawks claimed four top-ten places in the women's 1000m. Freshman Ella Stephenson (Ledyard, Conn.) took seventh place with a time of 3:26.85. Freshman Lauren Duffy (Southington, Conn.) was right behind Stephenson and finished eighth overall with a time of 3:38.65. Next was Freshman Kiera Braunwart (Hebron, Conn.) with a time of 3:39.49 that gave her ninth overall. Freshman Penelope Andreou (Garrison, N.Y.) ran a 4:09.49 to nab tenth place for the Hawks
- Sophomore Annie Gilman ran strong in the 1-mile event claiming eighth place with a time of 5:55.15.
- Sophomore Jordan Murphy (East Hampton, Conn.) had an impressive high jump performance clearing 1.66m to place first overall.

"The meet went well," said Jordan Murphy, "I was able to learn a lot. The support from the team allowed for a successful day. Looking forward to the D3 New England Championship next week."
