Madison Olmstead Takes Home Second CNE Player of the Week Award

WEST HARTFORD, Conn. - On Monday, the Conference of New England (CNE) announced its weekly awards report. This week, Madison Olmstead (Wolcott, Conn.) took home her second CNE Player of the Week Award for her outstanding performance this past week.

Olmstead has been a staple the Hawks, posting videogame-like numbers all year long. This week, she led the offensive attack for her squad posting 23 total points on 18 goals and 5 assists. This offensive dominance came at the perfect time for Hartford, as Olmstead netted a team leading six goals in the teams round one CNE Playoff matchup versus Western New England


Olmstead and the Hawks are hitting the road for round two of the CNE Playoffs as the travel to Bristol, Rhode Island to take on the #2 seeded Roger Williams Hawks. This heavyweight matchup is set to take place on Wednesday, April 30th at 4:00 PM.

Originally founded in 1984 as the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC), and reconstituted as the Conference of New England (CNE) in 2024, the CNE is an NCAA Division III athletic conference composed of 10 full member and five associate member institutions throughout the New England region. Its membership aims to provide student-athletes with a positive experience in their pursuit of excellence through high academic standards, quality competition, and a meaningful student life. The Conference administers championships in 20 intercollegiate sports.
