WEST HARTFORD, Conn. – This afternoon, the 2025 America Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA) / Rawlings NCAA Division III All-Region Teams were released featuring five Hawks.
Graduate student Jake Santiago (Bristol Conn.) was named to the All-Region First Team, sophomore JJ Romatzick(Stratford, Conn.) was named to the All-Region Second Team, and junior Jeremy Mangiameli (Middlefield, Conn.), junior Jackson Ciccone (Danbury, Conn.), and freshman Ryan Sheehy (Shelton, Conn.) all made the All-Region Third Team.
Santiago was a staple for the Hawks, starting 40 games as a Designated hitter. Jake ended the year with a .411 batting average total and .493 from conference play. This included nine homers, 32 runs scored, and 35 RBIs. Santiago was named to the Conference of New England (CNE) All-Conference Second Team for his performance at the plate.
Romatzick had a great season as well for the Hawks, slashing a .382 batting average with a .482 SLG as a shortstop. He was ranked in the top-ten in the conference with 36 RBIs and had double-digit doubles on the year. He etched his name in Harford history by having a hit for 26-straight games. JJ was named to CNE All-Conference First Team.
Mangiameli played both second and third base for the Hawks this season and produced big. He finished hitting .356 in 32 starts in 2025. Jeremey ended the year with two homers, 28 runs scored, 17 RBIs and 10 doubles. He was named to the CNE All-Conference Third Team.
Ciccone was another staple for the Hawks lineup, appearing in all 40 games as the main man in center field. He let his presence be known by tying a team-high with Santiago of 36 RBIs. His .335 batting average included 11 doubles and 31 runs scored. He was also named to the CNE All-Conference Third team.
Sheehy had quite the freshman campaign with a final record of 6-2 with a save in 14 appearances and 11 starts. He pitched 62.2 innings and finished second in the conference in strikeouts with 78 total. His 3.88 ERA and holding his opponents to .196 batting average lead him to winning the CNE Rookie of the Year award and earning First Team All-Conference honors as well.
