DiDomizio Named CNE Defensive Player of the Week

WEST HARTFORD, Conn. – On Monday, the Conference of New England (CNE) announced its first lacrosse weekly honor roll with graduate student Nick DiDomizio (Cheshire, Conn.) being named the CNE Defensive Player of the Week. 

DiDomizio caused four turnovers to go with four ground balls for Hartford in a huge 12-9 victory over Vassar College on Saturday February 21st. 

Nick currently leads the Hawks in caused turnovers with five on the season as Hartford sits at 1-1 this season in non-conference play. 

The Hawks men's lacrosse team will travel to New London to take on Connecticut College on Saturday with a 3:00 PM start.

Originally founded in 1984 as the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) and reconstituted as the Conference of New England (CNE) in 2024, the CNE is an NCAA Division III Athletic Conference composed of 11 full member and five associate member institutions throughout the New England region. Its membership aims to provide student-athletes with a positive experience in their pursuit of excellence through high academic standards, quality competition, and a meaningful student life. The Conference administers championships in 20 intercollegiate sports.
