Three Men's Lacrosse Hawks Named to College Sports Communicators Academic All-District At-Large Team

WEST HARTFORD, Conn. - On Tuesday, the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District At-Large teams were announced with three members of the Hartford men's lacrosse team featured. 

The College Sports Communicators Academic All-America® and Academic All-District® Teams program recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances in athletic competition and in the classroom. To be considered for inclusion on the Academic All-District® and Academic All-America® At-Large Team, student-athletes must be at least a sophomore academically and athletically, must have at least a 3.50 cumulative grade point average, and must have competed in 90 percent of the institution's games played or must start in at least 66 percent of the institution's games. 

The three Hawks being named to the team were junior Aidan Ezra (New Milford, Conn.), junior Michael Novotny (Cornwall, N.Y.) and graduate student Nick DiDomizio (Cheshire, Conn.). 

Ezra had a stellar junior campaign being named to the Conference of New England 1st Team All-Conference after being selected as a 2nd Team All-Conference member in 2025. The junior captain registered 50 points on 29 goals and 21 assists. Aidan added 13 grounder and three caused turnovers. Ezra was later named to the NEILA All-New England Honorable Mention team. 

Novotny had a stellar junior season for the Hawks being named to the CNE All-Conference 2nd Team and was also named the Hartford Male Athlete of the Year. Michael finished his season as the teams leading point scorer with 60 overall points on the season on 40 goals and 20 assists. Novotny added 24 grounders and eight caused turnovers. Novotny made a NEILA Team of the Week on March 30th. 

DiDomizio had a stellar final year for Hartford in 2026 starting all 17 games and being recognized as a Conference of New England (CNE) All-Conference 2nd Team choice. Nick, a two-year team captain ended the year with a team-high 24 caused turnovers to go with 22 ground balls with a lone goal in the CNE Quarterfinals. He was named a Defensive Player of the Week on February 23rd. DiDomizio finishes his career ranked 4th in program history with 52 caused turnovers and is named to his second-consecutive second team honor. DiDomizio was also named the CNE Elite 21 Award Winner for having the highest GPA of any student-athlete competing in the postseason. He was later named to the All-Hawk team and a United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA) All-American Honorable Mention.
