BEVERLY, Mass. – On Monday, the Conference of New England (CNE) announced its softball weekly awards list with freshman Alina Weaver (Nazareth, PA.) being named the rookie of the week.
Weaver locked it down for the Hawks at the plate all week, hitting to the tune of a .500 average. She also picked up her first collegiate double in the first matchup against Curry College.
Over the course of the season, Weaver has compiled a .280 average with seven hits, one double, three RBIs and four walks.
Hartford softball continues action this week, facing off against CNE opponent Wentworth at home on Tuesday. First pitch of game one is expected for 2:00 PM
