Kayla Pelletier Titled CNE Athlete of the Week

BEVERLY, Mass. – On Monday, the Conference of New England (CNE) announced its women's track and field weekly honor roll with graduate student Kayla Pelletier (Southington, Conn.) being named athlete of the week.

Pelletier and the Hawks competed in the University of Connecticut Multi Meet on April 17th and then the Trinity College Invitational April 18th. At UConn Pelletier headlined their performance becoming #1 in DIII placing third in the javelin throw event launching a distance of 46.61 meters. Pelletier then earned 12th place in the shot put event at Trinity earning a distance of 10.46 meters.

Pelletier and the Hawks compete next this upcoming Friday and Saturday at the CNE Championships hosted by Gordon College.

ABOUT THE CONFERENCE OF NEW ENGLAND:
Originally founded in 1984 as the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) and reconstituted as the Conference of New England (CNE) in 2024, the CNE is an NCAA Division III Athletic Conference composed of 11 full member and five associate member institutions throughout the New England region. Its membership aims to provide student-athletes with a positive experience in their pursuit of excellence through high academic standards, quality competition, and a meaningful student life. The Conference administers championships in 20 intercollegiate sports.
