WEST HARTFORD, Conn. - On Friday, the University of Hartford women's outdoor track & field team hosted the second annual Rage in the Cage Invitational at the Grant Family Track & Field.
Rapid Recap:
- The Hawks would win the meet for the first time in school history with 232 points. Assumption followed with 163 points followed by the University of New England.
- Graduate student Kayla Pelletier (Southington, Conn.) continues to shine in javelin. Winning the event hitting 44.57 meters.
- Senior Madison DiPasquale (Wallingford, Conn.) won both the shot put and discus events hitting 11.96 meters in shot put before clearing 39.52 meters in discus.
- Junior Jordan Murphy (East Hampton, Conn.) won high jump again at a height of 1.63 meters.
- Senior Chloe Coale (Martinsburg, W.Va.) won the 3000 meter steeplechase at a time of 14:26.26.
- Senior Elizabeth White (Nashua, N.H.) placed in first in the 1500 meter at a time of 4:56.34.
- Freshman Emily Breau (Meriden, Conn.) rounded out the first place finishers in the 400 meter hurdles at a time of 1:06.27.
- Sophomore Tamara Greene (Hartford, Conn.) placed in third in the 100 meter hurdles at time of 14.83 seconds.
- Prior to the meet the Hawks honored their graduating student-athletes for senior day festivities. The Hawks honored were Tommie Barker (Canton, Conn.), Chloe Coale (Martinsburg, W.Va.), Yovanna Cruz (Stratford, Conn.), Madison DiPasquale (Wallingford, Conn.), Ella Grace (Yardley, Pa.), Destinee Majett (Brick Township, N.J.), Mariah Nichols (Barton, N.Y.), Elizabeth White (Nashua, N.H.) and graduate student Kayla Pelletier (Southington, Conn.).
