BEVERLY, Mass. – On Monday, the Conference of New England (CNE) announced its weekly track and field awards, with the Hawks 4x100 meter relay team being named as Conference Relay Team of the Week, after their stellar performance this past weekend.
Freshman Jaya Pichay (South Windsor, Conn.), freshman Emily Breau (Meriden, Conn.), junior Leslie Samuel (Montauk, N.Y.), and sophomore Tamara Greene (Hartford, Conn.) placed second out of the four teams performing crossing the finishing line at 49.20 seconds. With this finish the Hawks also claimed the seventh best time in Hartford track history.
Hartford Track and Field will be back in action on Friday, April 10th and Saturday, April 11th at the Connecticut College Invitational.
