SOUTH HADLEY, Mass. – On Thursday, the New England Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (NEILA) announced its All-Academic Teams for the 2026 season with graduate student
Nick DiDomizio (Cheshire, Conn.) featured.
Overall 298 student-athletes were selected to the NEILA All-Academic Teams. Members of the teams are nominated by head coaches in Divisions I, II and II, and are student-athletes who have excelled both in the classroom and on the field over the course of their men's lacrosse career. Nominees must have a senior or graduate student standing with no eligibility remaining or plans to use their eligibility in New England, a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or better on a 4.0 scale, and be an impact player for their team.
DiDomizio had a stellar final year for Hartford in 2026 starting all 17 games and being recognized as a Conference of New England (CNE) All-Conference 2nd Team choice. Nick, a two-year team captain ended the year with a team-high 24 caused turnovers to go with 22 ground balls with a lone goal in the CNE Quarterfinals. He was named a Defensive Player of the Week on February 23rd. DiDomizio finishes his career ranked 4th in program history with 52 caused turnovers and is named to his second-consecutive second team honor. DiDomizio was also named the CNE Elite 21 Award Winner for having the highest GPA of any student-athlete competing in the postseason. He was later named to the All-Hawk team and a United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA) All-American Honorable Mention.
The Hawks ended the 2026 season with a record of 11-6 with a 7-2 CNE record falling in the CNE Semifinals.
