GREENWOOD, Ind. – On Wednesday, the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-America At-Large teams were announced with graduate student Nick DiDomizio (Cheshire, Conn.) being named as a 2nd Team Academic All-American.

This honor recognizes the top student-athletes for their exceptional performance both academically and athletically. The student-athlete must be at least a sophomore academically and athletically, must have at least a 3.50 cumulative grade point average, and must have competed in 90 percent of the institution's games played or must start in at least 66 percent of the institution's games. CSC All-Americans are voted on and chosen by members of the College Sports Communicators organization from around the country.

DiDomizio becomes the first CSC Academic All-American in program history and is the first men's CSC Academic All-American since David MacKinnon in 2016. 

Nick finished his career at Hartford with a stellar final year in 2026. DiDomizio started all 17 games with a team-high 24 caused turnovers to go with 22 ground balls with a lone goal in the Conference of New England (CNE) Quarterfinals. Over the course of his career he started all 47 games for the Hawks. DiDomizio finished his career ranked 4th in program history with 52 caused turnovers and is a two-time CNE 2nd Team All-Conference selection. He was named the 2026 CNE Elite 21 Award Winner for having the highest GPA of any student-athlete competing in the postseason. Nick was a nUnited States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA) All-American Honorable Mention, New England Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (NEILA) All-Academic Team choice and 2025 USILA Scholar All-American. 

DiDomizio was a two-time CSC Academic All-District selection in 2024 and 2025 and holds a perfect 4.0 GPA at the University of Hartford.

The Hawks men's lacrosse team ended the 2026 season with a record of 11-6 with a 7-2 CNE record falling in the CNE Semifinals.
