MSOC Wins First Road Game

BOSTON, MASS. - The University of Hartford's men's soccer team won their first road game as defeated Commonwealth Coast Conference opponent Wentworth Institute of Technology, 3-0, Wednesday at Sweeney Field.

Senior Nate Becher played a role in two of the three goals to lead Hartford.
He assisted on sophomore Nicholas Castrovinci's first career goal in the 24th minute to break a scoreless tie. It was Becher's first assist on the season.

In the second half, the Hawks scored two more goals.

Freshman Sami Dridi scored his first collegiate goal in the 60th minute of the game, assisted by sophomore Alex Foligno. Becher officially put the game out of reach with a solo run to the top left corner in the 79th minute.

INSIDE THE BOX & NOTES

Hartford launched six shots on goal compared to three attempts by the Leopards. In all, the Hawks finished with 12 shots.
Hartford was without starters Trey Sadler and Khalijah Morgan.
Freshman Ryan Lunn recorded his second shutout of the season, making three saves.

WHAT'S NEXT

The Hawks will continue to face CCC competition when they take on Nichols College 4 p.m. Saturday at Al-Marzook Field. It will be Senior Day for the men's soccer team.
