BOSTON, Mass. - The Hawks women's indoor track & field team competed in the Division III New England Championships this weekend placing in 12th out of 28 teams who received a score.
Top Results:
- Sophomore Jordan Murphy (East Hampton, Conn.) cleared a 1.66m in the high jump taking third place in the competition this weekend. Murphy would also place in 5th in the pentathlon with a score of 3209.
- Senior Cali Leonard (Boston, Mass.) had a strong showing this weekend taking fifth place in the 60 meter hurdles with a time of 9.15. Leonard broke the school record on Friday in the preliminaries of the 60 meter hurdle coming across at 9.08 seconds.
- Freshman Tamara Greene (Hartford, Conn.) also had a good showing placing in 8th in the 60 meter hurdles competition at a time of 9.43 seconds.
- Junior Madison DiPasquale (Wallingford, Conn.) placed 11th in the weight throw event launching a distance of 14.41m.

"I am incredibly proud of how the team has performed this weekend," said Leonard. "Our team had many PRs and a couple of records! The team has put in great effort in practice and it has shown this weekend."
"In our first time at this championship, I'm thrilled with how our student-athletes carried them selves and competed", said head coach Connor Green. "It was awesome to see some great performance and even some school records! This region is filled with some of the best in the country so to have such a great showing was fantastic. I think it really sets the tone for the rest of the year."
